OTS 2024 - Montreal, Canada
Happy OTS to those who celebrate! With the entire lab attending OTS 2024 here in Montreal, a great week week was had by all. Both Zidi Lyu and Sunit Jana gave wonderful talks, while James, Halle, Zidi, Harneesh, Abhishek, Michael, and Emma presented posters. Congratulations to Halle, Harneesh, and Zidi who all received poster awards!
CRBC McGill Student Seminar
Harneesh Kaur opened the CRBS student seminar series with her fascinating talk titled 'Structural studies and applications of left-handed helical nucleic acids'. Great work Harneesh!
IRT 2024 - Tokyo, Japan
Two of the our lab veterans attended the International Round Table on Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids in Tokyo in September. James Thorpe gave a great talk on his work on sustainable methods for oligonucleotide synthesis, and Halle Barber presented a poster on antisense oligonucleotides for C9orf72.
EuChemS 2024 - Dublin, Ireland
In July, our students Michael Cunningham and Emma Groenwold attended the 9th annual EuChemS conference in Dublin, Ireland. Michael gave an oral presentation on his work involving the use of RNA analogs for enhanced CRISPR-Cas12a gene editing, while Emma presented her work on chemical modifications and conjugations for antisense oligonucleotides for Duchenne's muscular dystrophy.
